A Fascinating and Fulfilling Evening at HFA’s Educational Seminar

Hoover Financial AdvisorsSeptember 29, 2016

It wasn’t planned, but on the day of Hoover Financial Advisors’ Fall educational seminar Janet Yellen, Federal Reserve chair, once again chose not to raise interest rates. The decision prompted questions and thoughts, which Jeffrey Kleintop, CFA, included in his presentation on Global Outlook that evening.

img_5893Kleintop, Chief Global Investment Strategist for Charles Schwab & Co., analyzes and reports on International Markets, trends and events in order to help investors in this country understand the financial impact. Kleintop has local roots; he received a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

About 150 guests gathered in The Desmond Hotel & Conference Center ballroom for a cocktail before proceeding to a second ballroom for a delicious three-course dinner and outstanding program. Pete Hoover opened the event with welcome comments and thanks to HFA clients. He introduced and praised the HFA team. He announced the success of the company’s new and improved website and HFA’s induction to Financial Times Top 300 Registered Investment Advisors in the U.S. List, as well as 5-Star Wealth Management inclusion once again.

img_5859Pete also talked about Chester County Food Bank and urged everyone to help HFA reach its October fundraising goal of $16,000. He noted that the company has raised $45,000 for the food bank in the past four years. With contributions from seminar guests, $7,000 is already in and October is yet to begin.

Pete introduced Kleintop with great delight and pride and promised an informative talk. He was absolutely right. Kleintop commented on several aspects of the international markets. Topics ranged from the interest rates, policy changes, and watching Japan’s markets very closely. He went on to review investment habits and recession risks explaining the connection between The U.S. Treasury Yield Curve and past recessions. He also revealed some interesting facts about the upcoming election and investment preferences of people throughout the world.
